Dave, Proud to be a Volunteer!!!

Dave was introduced to Vem, MAKNA Manager at the International Health Fair, after being "crowned" as a MAKNA Volunteer.

Earlier that day, Dato' Mohd Farid Ariffin, President & Founder of MAKNA gave a talk at the 2nd International Health Fair. The 2nd International Health Fair was a 3 day affair where our TKK Boys volunteered and manned the MAKNA Booth and distributed the MAKNA "Sens for Lives" Campaign Boxes to the public.

Dave, Permanent Member of TKK has been given the responsibility to lead CKK. At the same time, he is also being given the honours to wear the MAKNA VOLUNTEER'S VEST. With the Vest comes Great Responsibility :) Dave will volunteer at MAKNA HQ at least one day every week once he finishes his SPM Examinations. Witnessing this special event was Kak Aizan, Mentor & Chief of Team Project Chang.

Unfortunately, Dave's younger brother, Mon, also a permanent member of TKK was not able to join for this special occasion.

While doing their ENGLISH HOMEWORK... hehehehe.... the TKK Boys had a very important visitor... Kak Farahida!! Kak Farah is the daughter of the President & Founder of MAKNA, Dato' Mohd Farid Ariffin. Kak Farah spent some time with our boys, catching up on what they have done over the past week as well as getting updates on their Home Visits :)

MAKNA Cash Collection

Today, 3 TKK Boys went on a round trip on the STAR LRT together with MAKNA Staff to collect donation boxes at the LRT Stations. We had 3 TEAMS going to about 8 - 10 stations per TEAM. One of the TKK Boys couldn't join us today because he has been "detained" at the MAKNA HQ for Administrative Duties. He will have his turn tomorrow at the PUTRA LRT Sector :)

Later that evening, all four of them were treated with HOMEWORK!!! brought to them specially by Mama Gie!!! yeah!!!

Trip to Sungai Besar

One of the TKK Boys, Mama Gie and a couple of MAKNA Staff went on an expedition to Sungai Besar in Sabak Bernam Selangor to visit 3 Cancer Patients under the MAKNA Bursary Scheme. 2 patients are suffering from Rectum Cancer and 1 is suffering from Breast Cancer. It was a whole day event for them.

Meanwhile, the remaining 3 TKK Boys were assigned Administrative Duties at the MAKNA HQ.
